10 Week Snowboard Course

When you book on a BASI GAP course you are signing up for a professional
course dedicated to snowboarding and snowsports teaching. The BASI GAP
10 week ski course is a snowsports instructor’s course rather than an
extended holiday and suits people who are committed to improving their
riding and who are passionate about the mountains. Run by BASI themselves,
in Val d'Isère, this the official Gap course from the governing body of British
Snowsports instruction,

Join our professional team and enjoy an experience which will help you to not only
develop your riding but other skills such as leadership, communication and team
work. This course launches you into the next stage of your life whether it is in
snowsports teaching or other career paths.

The course kicks off with an intensive personal performance course given
by BASI Trainers covering all areas of riding - high-speed, off-piste, bumps,
steep slopes, racing, snowpark and freeride, mountain safety and off-piste
awareness. See a sample course program

This is followed by a Level 1 Instructor Course, six weeks of on-going training
of several sessions a week and shadowing of snowboard instructors in the
workplace, and culminates in the Level 2 Instructor course.

At the end of this period, if students have reached the required standard,
they achieve the Snowboard Level 2 Instructor Qualification.
